This frozen strawberry lemonade will surely refresh you this summer!
It is very easy to make, full of fresh strawberries and bright citrus lemons. Not too sour or too sweet, just perfect!
Make it a refreshing summer cocktail by substituting some of the water with your choice of alcohol: vodka, tequila, rum or even white wine. But even without alcohol, it's still delicious!
My husband and I love this frozen strawberry lemonade, it was gone in no time! It is almost impossible to stop in just one glass. So, if you have friends that come, simply double or triple the recipe.
You can use fresh or frozen strawberries. If you use frozen strawberries, let them thaw a little before liquefying them so that they are easier to crush in your blender.
The glasses are lined with pink sugar. Put a little sugar in a zip-lock bag and add a drop of red food coloring. Seal the bag and gently massage the sugar with your fingers until the color mixes. You can continue adding one drop of food coloring at a time until you get the desired shade. SImple, is not it?
Take a straw and enjoy it!
Ingredients:
5.3 oz (150 grams) of fresh strawberries without shell
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/4 cup (60 ml) of water
2 tablespoons of granulated sugar more to taste
1 1/2 cup (200 grams) of crushed ice
Optional:
Pink sugar for rimming glasses: sugar, red food coloring
fresh strawberries and / or lemon slices to garnish
Instructions:
Prepare the pink sugar. Put a little sugar in a zip-lock bag and add a drop of red food coloring. Seal the bag and gently massage the sugar with your fingers until the color mixes.
Run the cut side of a slice of lemon around the rim of a glass. Dip the rim into a small bowl of pink sugar and set aside. Repeat with the other glass.
Place all the ingredients in a blender and mix until you reach the desired consistency. Savor the taste and sweetness and adjust yourself to your liking.
Divide the frozen strawberry lemonade between the two glasses and garnish with a slice of strawberry and / or lemon.
Serve right away and enjoy it!
